Program out now: Register today for the HMC Pre-Con 2026!
Our intellectually (and aesthetically) compelling program for the 9th HMC Pre-Conference is now available: Program HMC Pre-Con 2026
At the 9th HMC IG preconference, we explore inequalities/inequities, embedded in and surrounding communication with machines. How they are inscribed in conceptions of communication, design/infrastructure of machines, trans-ontological relations or co-construction processes. How they shape negotiations of ontological boundaries, the process of communication itself, meaning-making, and moral conceptions, and how context matters. We reflect on ethical implications and opportunities in HMC for advancing equality among humans, among machines, and between humans and machines.
